I was born in California’s Central Valley as a Vietnamese-Chinese-Palestinian-Italian American. It was not unusual for a day at our kitchen table to consist of thịt kho for lunch and maqluba for dinner. I was raised in the culinary industry, running around family restaurants as a child, and later prepping vegetables or washing dishes.

I write about food, cook, and develop dishes from a multicultural lens. My goal is to use food to explore and share cultural history and identities.

I currently work as a senior food writer for Pro Home Cooks, host a supper club called saint catherine, and have cooked for events such as Sensus.

I’m also MSG’s biggest fan.
